Resource Lists
Resource Lists are a way for you to create lists of materials you find in the catalog. For example, a list of books you want to read or books you've read. You could create a list of items you'd like to refer to for a research project. Or you may want to create a list for your class to refer to as they conduct research. You could make a list of your favorite historical fiction novels and share it with a friend. Or you could make a list and share it will the school. You could make a list of resources you used for a research project and then quickly export a properly formatted bibliography to turn in or to copy and paste from into your Noodletools account.
1.
The link for "Resource Lists" is located in the left-hand side navigation bar once you've logged into your account. For more information about logging in, visit the logging in tutorial page.
2.
On this page, you will see your lists. By default, everyone has a "My Personal List." In the top right-hand corner you will also see a tab for "Public Lists." Here you can see lists made by other users at HHS, for users at HHS.
To create a new list click "Add List."
To create a new list click "Add List."

- name your list
- choose to make it public (*this feature is only available to staff patrons, students interesting in making a list public please see ms. eakin)
- If you want, add a description
- If you want, add co-owners to help create the list
4.
Now go back to your "Catalog" tab at conduct a search.
For this example, I made a list called "Books I've Read 2014-15" and done a search for our summer reading book, The Help.
To add The Help to my list, I check at the top of my page next to "Selected List:" that the correct list is showing. Then next to the record for The Help, I click "Add to this list."
Be sure to look at the icon for what type of material you are adding. In this example I could have chosen the print book or the audiobook.

5.
At anytime I can edit my list or its items. If you want to print a bibliography from your list, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Go!" next to "Create Citation List." You can then use this as a bibliography or copy and paste from it into your Noodletools account.
